The World Pickleball Tour, the largest amateur pickleball tournament series in the country, will bring The Richmond Pickleball Classic to Pouncey Tract Park in Short Pump (4747 Pouncey Tract Road) from April 8 to April 10.
Some 200 to 300 players are expected to compete in the tournament; spectators can watch for free. The winning purse for the event is $5,000, which will be divided up among each of the first-place winners in each skill level.
Registration for players will be open until April 1. Players must be 18 years or older to register.
