Woodland Cemetery Restoration Plan

The nonprofit Evergreen Restoration Foundation has purchased Woodland Cemetery, the second largest cemetery for Blacks in the Richmond area, with plans to restore it as a place of honor and reverence for those buried there. On Aug. 12, 2020, Henrico County announced it would contribute $25,000 toward the purchase of the property and provide assistance in fundraising to support ongoing maintenance and care of the grounds.
