In this video I take you to the Moseley Va area and show you FoxCreek and the surrounding “Fox” Neighborhoods of Foxfire, Foxfield, Foxcroft, and Wynwood At FoxCreek. Moseley Virginia is a suburb outside of Richmond Virginia full of family friendly neighborhoods, and 4 out of the 5 Foxes have really nice sized lots. You will get to see houses built from 1990 all the way through new construction still ongoing today!

I first tell you about living in the Moseley area, including the nearby amenities and the major con to living in Moseley. Then I begin the Foxes neighborhood tour starting with Foxfire which is my 2nd favorite “Fox” neighborhood.

Foxfire is the most northeast of the Foxes. There are sidewalks throughout the neighborhood, and at the back there is a kayak launch and access to the swift creek reservoir. The year built in Foxfire ranges from 1998 to 2004 with an average year built of 2000. The neighborhoods age has allowed the landscaping to really mature. You will find homes with 4 to 6 bedrooms and two and a half up to five and a half bathrooms. The square footage ranges from 2500 square feet up to a gigantic 7000 square feet with the average a little over 3800. Foxfire has the 2nd lowest $/sqft at ~$150, so you get a pretty good bang for your buck.

FoxCreek is next. Pulling into the neighborhood you will notice how everything is very well manicured and there are miles of sidewalks throughout. FoxCreek is a much larger neighborhood than foxfire with a total of just under 500 homes within it. There are a handful of homes built in the late 90s but the rest of the homes were built between 2006 and 2021 with a neighborhood average of 2010. The homes in FoxCreek have 3 to 7 bedrooms and the majority are 4 plus with two and a half up to 6 and a half bathrooms. These are the largest homes in this video ranging in size from 2700 sqft up to a staggering 8600 sqft and the average size is 4700. Prices in FoxCreek range from the mid 500s to the mid 900s and you get a pretty decent deal for the size with a neighborhood average of $145/sqft.

Next I show you Foxfield. Overall the average year built is 2011 but the oldest homes in Foxfield are from 2006 through 2009, and construction resumed again in back in 2014. So the majority of the homes here will be much more updated than the previous two neighborhoods. The pros are you get newer homes with updated floorplans and finishes and really good sized yards, but you pay a little more per square foot due to the newer year built with an average $/sqft in the $170s. Majority of the homes here do not have access to any HOA provided amenities.

Wynwood At FoxCreek is next and is the outlier of this video. There are townhomes, carriage homes, and traditional single family homes located here. The con is that the yard sizes are much smaller than the rest of the Foxes, but you can find much more recently built homes.

Foxcroft is the original of the Foxes and was developed in the 90s. The lots in Foxcroft are large and over half an acre in size on average, plus they are heavily wooded and very private. The downside is that the homes are much older than the rest of the other Fox neighborhoods, so the floorplans and interiors might feel dated.
