Buying your first home may seem like a daunting task and maybe you feel a little lost and don’t know where to start. This video will help you understand the homebuying process from start to finish. We break it down into 8 easy to understand steps.
Step 1: Meet with a mortgage lender to discuss your budget.
Step 2: Interview real estate agents and choose one to work with.
Step 3: Go house hunting. Submit an offer when you find the one you LOVE.
Step 4: Send paperwork to your lender & to your closing attorney.
Step 5: Do a home inspection and request any repairs.
Step 6: Order the appraisal.
Step 7: Send a wire transfer/money to your closing attorney.
Step 8: Perform a final walkthrough of the property, then head to closing and pick up keys!
It’s pretty simple when explained like this. There are a few little details in between each step that your agent can help you with, but this is a great over view of the process and should help prepare you for when you are ready to buy a home.
