RICHMOND, Va. — Mike Pagano has been named Assistant Athletics Director for Business Operations, Richmond Athletics announced Tuesday. Pagano joins Richmond Athletics following seven years in the Office of Financial Aid at the University of Richmond, including four years as the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. In that role, Pagano was responsible for reviewing and awarding financial aid applications for students, managing the student employment program on campus, and serving as the liaison between Financial Aid and Athletics.
Pagano, a Morristown, N.J. native, moved to Richmond in 2014 and started at the University of Richmond in 2015. He has a wife, Stacey, sons Luke and Drew, and a daughter, Lauren.
Pagano earned his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. in 2006. His undergraduate degree is from Messiah College in Grantham, Pa., where he was a four-year player and a two-year captain on the men’s lacrosse team. Pagano has coached lacrosse at the youth and high school levels for more than 20 years, including a stint as the varsity assistant boy’s lacrosse coach at Mills E. Godwin High School in Henrico, Va. starting in 2015.
