Overheight truck leads to shutdown of southbound I-95


HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) – Police had to help get an overheight truck turned around on Thursday afternoon, shutting down all southbound lanes of I-95 between I-295 and the Scott’s Road overpass.

Virginia Department of Transportation cameras showed southbound traffic getting detoured onto I-295 as backups reached about 5 miles.

The interstate reopened just before 2:30 p.m.
