We are excited to share two ways to sweep your opponent from the open guard!
The first sweep is done from double sleeve control, with a shin inside the bicep and the other shin across the stomach. Load them up, and dump them 90 degrees for a knee on belly finish!
The second sweep is a dynamic movement, available if your opponent leans back to base against the first reversal, and puts you in a solid side control!
Drill these a lot, you will be surprising your training partners and opponents in no time!
These positions are must-haves for beginners and advanced Jiu-Jitsu players alike!

As a community, we must pull together to represent our art as what it should be: Self-Defense! Jiu-Jitsu is to empower the weak against the perpetrators of violence, and should be used for protection, not to do harm towards others. Please consider ordering one of our “United” gi patches, available through us! These patches are a statement, saying that we are United as a community against violence. All profits from your donation will go to support R.A.I.N.N. (Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network).
Thanks to Maggie at ingenuitek.com for designing the patches!
Thanks to Sam at nhbgear.com, and to Ricardo at dafirmabjj.com for producing and donating the patches to the cause!!!
