This First Responders Club at Johnson Elementary School program was started by Associate Principal Freundt and Corporal Danilovich in September of 2020 ended the school year with a kickball game.
Officers from various units and supervisor from highest in the chain of command in to include Patrol Operations, School Services Unit, ERT Unit, Community Policing Unit, Training Unit, Traffic Enforcement Unit, and Executive Staff came face to face (6-foot social distance applied) with students and teachers. Along with number of very special guests, Henrico County Police Department Chief English, and Henrico County Public School Superintendent Dr. Amy Cashwell came to cheer for students, teachers, and police officers.
This program was developed to build true and lifelong relationship between Community and Police Department and on June 10, 2021 that goal was achieved. This program will be continued at Johnson ES in 2021-2022 school year.
