Henrico Celebrates Bat Week

Despite their creepy associations with Dracula and Halloween, bats play an important role in our ecosystem, helping to control mosquitoes and other insects. Tom Thorp, a recreation manager with the Henrico County Division of Recreation and Parks, dispels myths associated with bats and says the winged animals deserve appreciation and protection.
