Henrico Animal Protection tends to dog distressed by heat

A dog without a collar or tags wandering the Randolph Ridge subdivision, just off Mountain Road in Glen Allen, received some quick care from a Henrico Animal Protection Officer Friday.

A neighbor contacted the Animal Protection unit, and Officer Wieringa responded and began to hose, hydrate and massage the dog until it became more lucid, then took it to the the department’s shelter.
