HCPS 2021-22 Back to School Kickoff!

While Sept. 8 will be the day students return to their classrooms, the excitement of the 2021-22 school year begins earlier, at Henrico County Public Schools’ Aug. 20 pep-rally style “Back-to-School Kickoff” event. The event will be a fun Friday evening for the whole family, held from 4-8 p.m. on the grounds of the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center. Join us for family activities, including a DJ, food trucks, giveaways and performances. The recreation center’s “sprayground” water play area will be open, too. Families can register their child for school, talk with representatives from a host of HCPS departments and get information about resources available throughout the school division and in the community. The theme of the event is “Travel with Us Across the Division.” The event is sponsored by HCPS’ Division of Communications and Community Engagement, and all Henrico County families are invited to attend.
