Grant from Henrico Area Mental Health to assist families in Charles City and New Kent – New Kent – Charles City Chronicle

Henrico Area Mental Health and Developmental Services has been awarded a $34,000 grant to assist families in Charles City and New Kent.

The grant will be used to address pregnant and parenting women who have substance use disorder. Funding will specifically be used for providing training to medical and social service providers to help identify those who are struggling with disorders, how to refer them, and providing them with education on the type of services available.
