The 2022 Virginia Fallen Firefighters & EMS Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 4 at noon at the Richmond Raceway Complex, officials have announced. The annual service will take place within the complex’s Main Exhibition Hall and will be open to the public.
Four fallen firefighters are set to be honored at the service for their sacrifice. They are:
- Lawrence J. Phipps, Sr. – Hanover Fire and EMS
- Lyndell N. Woods – Fort Lewis Volunteer Fire Department
- Sean H. Land – Virginia Beach Fire Department
- Todd A. Landreth – Norfolk Airport Fire Department
The service will include a keynote address, Virginia Fire Services Honor Guard procession, musical performance, and Fire/EMS apparatus display from various departments in the commonwealth.
