In this video we show you 5 neighborhoods within Short Pump VA for under $400,000! Short Pump VA is probably our favorite suburb in Richmond Virginia and it is absolutely one of the best places to live in Richmond VA. Short Pump is not a cheap place to live which is why we had to go up to $400k, otherwise it would have been a short video.
The first affordable Short Pump neighborhood we show you is Tuckahoe Village. This neighborhood is located to the south of Short Pump along Lauderdale & near Patterson Ave. This is one of the most affordable ways to buy a nice home in a great area for a below average price. The trade off is that these homes are on the older side.
Next we take you to Rainbrook which is about as far east that you can go while still saying the Short Pump VA area. This is a smaller neighborhood with only about 100 homes. There are lots of split foyer style homes here and they pack a lot of rooms into that floorplan style. So if you don’t mind a split foyer there are some great options within this neighborhood. The average price is only $321,000 here!
Keswick is the next Short Pump neighborhood we visit. It has a great location right off of Church Road and John Rolfe Parkway. Anything you could ever need is 5 minutes away or less! This neighborhood is full of 2 story colonials and most have a garage. The average price is $395k, so it won’t be long before they cross over the $400k mark.
Ridgefield is an 80s neighborhood with lots of colonials and single story contemporary ranches. The average price is $345,000 and most have 3-4 bedrooms with about 2000 sqft. Keep in mind that some of the contemporary homes have cedar siding which is definitely a higher maintenance product. Less than a mile away is the Publix shopping center that also has a really nice YMCA too.
Last we finish in our favorite Short Pump VA neighborhood that you can buy for under $400,000. It has the best location of all the neighborhoods mentioned in this video. Gayton Station is an early 90s neighborhood full of 2 story colonials and many have a 1 car garage. Convenient to all that GreenGate has to offer and super close to the Short Pump Town Center Mall and to the new Wegmans & Cabelas there is a lot to love about this neighborhood.
