Internet Safety
Why we are offering Internet Safety training for teachers?
Governor Tim Kaine and the VA General Assembly passed a law in March 2007 requiring all schools to provide students, teachers, parents, administrators, and school board with Internet Safety Training.
Because of this, HCPS has created a Parent website & Student website for Internet Safety training.
HCPS Expectations
Teachers will be continually reminding students how to stay safe online. This includes: Making Good Choices, Cyberbullying, Internet Predators, Downloading & Copyright, and Authentic Resources. Currently, the last two are still being worked on.
It is also expected that you complete this Quiz: http://www.quia.com/quiz/1095478.html. This is due by the end of the first semester. Luckily, I’ve made this guide to get you through the quiz so you can get a 100%. You can click through the PowerPoint version, or if you like music, watch the Teacher Tube version. They’re both the same.
