Meme: Passion Quilt
By Mike Hasley | March 19, 2008
Bill Ferriter, ask me and 4 others to add to the Passion Quilt, an online (blog based) collection of photos that represent our passion in teaching/learning. It’s been interesting to click back through the blogosphere to see what others have done. Some I liked the most are from Cindy Seibel, Dean Shareski, and Sharon Seslija.

Mine is titled, “Passion to Learn.”
This picture comes from CNET news which discusses the $100 laptop program so children in poor nations get a chance at education in the 21st Century. As a teacher in the United States, it saddens me to see so many students not care about their own education and I’m amazed that students with nothing, 1000s of miles away, now have a chance to reach their own dreams. I wish our students understood how much opportunity they have, and that they’d take it more serious.
So, now I need to tag 5 others with this assignment.
“Ted” Coe
Bionic Teacher
Karl Fisch
Anne S.
And across the pond to Steve W.
Here are the rules:
Passion Quilt Meme Rules:
1. Think about what you are passionate about teaching your students.
2. Post a picture from a source like FlickrCC or Flickr Creative Commons or make/take your own that captures what YOU are most passionate about for kids to learn about…and give your picture a short title.
3. Title your blog post “Meme: Passion Quilt” and link back to this blog entry.
4. Include links to 5 folks in your professional learning network or whom you follow on Twitter/Pownce.
My picture disappeared from the site I used, hope it counts.
