October Seminars

This month we will do the following in semimar. If you need materials, please click on the links.

Grade 9:

10/4: Receive “Personal Metaphor” project (due November 1 or 15, depending on your last name) Personal Metaphor Project; Students also did the “What’s Your Learning Style?” InventoryLearning Style ; use this power point to complete this sheet and next week’s as well: What is my Learning Identity

10/11: Students do an informal Learning Temperament inventory as well as a group style inventory.Group Style, Learner Temperament

10/18: Ms. Giddings and Ms. Kwarta will have a speaker on the Science Fair. Students complete “7 Intelligences” inventory to bring to seminar next week. 7 intelligences

10/25:  Students complete Right/Left Brain inventory,(See Ms. Biddle for a copy of this sheet)  receive their work back and complete their self-assessment. This is due to PE by 10/31. . Approaches to Learning

Grade 10:

We will work on the Personal Project. 10/5 will look at Criteria B and C, 10/19 at the outline of the paper, and 10/26 at the rubrics. PP Criteria B and C Stuff, Writing the Personal Project Report 2011, IBO PP Guide – New

10/ 14: Extended Essay — revisions Extended Essay Revisions (2) and The college essayWriting COllege essays

10/21: EE Checklist FORMAT FOR EE; the college interview Dining Etiquette, An interview etiquette packet was provided, but it is too large to upload here.

10/28: Silver Tray Ceremony: EE’s due
