Ms. Stamps shows students a graphic novel version of The Hiding Place

We were most privileged to have Ms. Ellen Stamps speak to our freshmen in seminar about her experiences as the companion of Corrie ten Boom, Holocaust survivor and author of The Hiding Place. Corrie ten Boom and her family were instrumental in saving many Jews and other fugitives from Nazi arrest and deportation to concentration camps. Ms. Stamps recounted her memories of the Corrie ten Boom and admonished the students to find ways to do good in the world. Our IB freshmen read The Hiding Place in English as a part of our schoolwide Tolerance Plus initiative in which we hope to learn more about standing up for tolerance by learning about survivors of the Holocaust.
