On Thursday, December 16th, the students in Galloway’s 10th grade MYP English class will have a Night of Night. Galloway encouraged their parents to read the novel Night along with them and come to the evening discussion of the theme of tolerance. Students are bringing food from their cultures and sharing some of their group projects with their parents. Moreover, Simon P. Sibelman, PhD., a Wiesel scholar with one scholarly book and a dozen articles published about Elie Wiesel and his literary opus, is the guest speaker for the night. The evening will conclude with a mini-Socratic seminar where some of the novel’s themes will be explored. This event will be held in the Henrico High School Library from 5-7 p.m.
