OSC IB Summer Schools and University Careers Brochures are on their way in the post! OSC is a long established company run by IB professionals with a very high reputation amongst IB schools, students and parents, built up over nearly 20 years of providing services to IB students. We publish a popular series of over 50 IB Revision Guides written by OSC teachers that are used in schools throughout the world. We have a highly experienced team of ex IB teachers and managers who design and set up our courses.
“My daughter’s stay with you this summer was highly successful. It was well organised, the accommodation, food and mentoring was excellent. Her teachers were first class.” Parent of OSC Summer School Student 2008
We attract top IB teachers from around the world and prepare them thoroughly to give students the best possible tutoring during their IB Summer School – we believe that it is critical that IB students receive vacation time tutoring from experienced IB teachers.
“Teaching with OSC is always a very rewarding experience. Each group of students is different, but they are always keen to get the most out of the course and this creates a very purposeful atmosphere. I hope they return to their schools feeling more confident and determined to make the most of the remaining time before the exams.” OSC Teacher
Over the years we have developed a very professional, fun and safe social programme for our students. Our experienced staff receive thorough training, and are skilled in managing all the administrative and pastoral aspects of our courses.
Our courses attract large number of students which gives a huge advantage – we can stream them by level and in most cases by ability. Last summer over 1100 students attended our IB Summer Schools. For 2009, students have already signed up for over 1500 OSC IB Spring Revision courses

Virtual IB Open House
at 9:05 am on Thursday, 15 January 2009
Henrico County is proud of its nine specialty centers at the high school level. These programs offer the advantage of access to equipment not normally available at the high school level, such as the electron microscope at the Math/Science Center or the studio at the Communications Center. Our centers also are blessed with extraordinary faculty, many of whom are recognized leaders in their fields. So, depending on your child’s interests, talents and goals, Henrico County offers many ways for students to pursue excellence. One of those ways is Henrico High School’s International Baccalaureate Program. It offers the last two years of the MIddle Years program in 9 and 10, of which many students begin at Moody Middle, as well as the Diploma Program for 11 and 12. This prestigious international program has much to offer students and we welcome your application. You do not have to have been to Moody to apply; as well, you may also apply as a rising 10th or 11th grader.
If you missed our Open House, Tuesday, 1/13, please find our promotional materials at the links. If you came and need more time to peruse them, they are here for you too!!

January Scholarship Update
at 10:28 am on Wednesday, 14 January 2009
From Ms. Bradford:
I have recently received information about three scholarships available to our students. These scholarships were not received in time to list them in the January newsletter, but they are on the attached “update”. The Tom Joyner Full Ride at a HBCU (which I learned about this morning) has a postmark deadline of January 17th. The Henrico County/VCU Engineering Scholarship is available to one senior from each high school in Henrico County. The Continental Societies, Inc. scholarship has a broad criterion (any senior planning to attend 4-year college). Please encourage students to take advantage of these great opportunities!
