I’ll be giving a talk entitled “Bad to the Bone: Horrors!—Can Our Genes Help Make Us Evil?” that I’d like to invite your students (and you) to watch. The talk has ramifications for psychology, sociology, politics, philosophy, theology, biology, communications, history, understanding the motivations of fictional characters—and even understanding the motivations of the less scrupulous in business. Seniors and Senior Parents:
On Thursday, 10/16, Mr. Phillips will be checking — for a grade — students’ extended essays. The grade will be based on completion — that is, having a title page, abstract, essay appropriately cited and paginated, a works cited/bibliography, and any extras required by the subject. To ensure that the essay meets the criteria, here is the Extended Essay Guide which students should have. They need to reread the general guidelines as well as the specific subject guidelines and rubrics.
